Ron Barbagallo Animation Art interview (part 2)
Part 2 of Greg and Tom's interview with Ron Barbagallo from Animation Art Conservation. Ron tells us about his work on some Lost Salvatore Dali drawings for the Disney Film "Destino" and the realization that these drawings reveal Dalí had a much fuller narrative in mind for his short Destino. Ron tells us about working with Harry Potter and the pastel drawings of Illustrator Mary GrandPré for Warner Bros. and the JK Rowling books. His work with Christopher Nolan on the recreation of the Bat Suit for "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises" along with his work with the props for Tim Burtons film "Corpse Bride" for Warner Bros. One of this country's leading authorities on the materials used to make animation art, Barbagallo has drafted policies for the care of studio collections.
His client list includes The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, Nickelodeon, UPA, Christie's East, Linda Jones Enterprises, the Animation Artifacts that survived WTC Tower One on 9/11, museums, galleries, private collectors including the personal collection of Roy E. Disney.
